  Conducted water quality testing along Texas aquifers during a summer internship. Required to go to assigned sites and gather, record, and evaluate data such as depth, average dissolved oxygen (DO), pH level, nitrate nitrogen levels, flow, field observations (flow severity, algae cover, etc.), E. coli levels, site comments, pictures, and time duration. After each trip to a specific Texas aquifer, it was my responsibility to enter all the data collected and help create a GIS map that represents our findings. Show less

  Served in community outreach at the Galveston County Office of Emergency Management during Hurricane Harvey and its aftermath. Staffed incoming phone bank, recorded and routed search and rescue teams to flooded individuals in one of the hardest hit areas, Dickinson, TX. Attended status update conference calls in command center with local and city council emergency response officials.
