Kristen Maxwell Memorial Award Nutrition Department University of California, Davis Jun 2015 This award is given to one undergraduate in the field of clinical nutrition at UC Davis per year. Kristen Maxwell was a Dietetics student who graduated from UC Davis in 1983. She completed her ADA Internship at Ingall’s Memorial Hospital the following year. At the time of her death in 1988, Kristen was employed as a clinical dietitian at Scenic General Hospital in Modesto, CA. William Weir Nutrition Department Research Award Department of Nutrition University of California, Davis Jun 2015 This award was established in honor of Dr. Weir by Dr. Timothy J. Pietro who benefited from a summer stipend while he was an undergraduate studying and performing research in the Department of Nutrition. Dr. William Weir was a Professor of Animal science, Dean of Students, and Chair of the Nutrition Department (1973-1981) at theUniversity of California, Davis.

Community Service Award UC Davis Internship and Career Center May 2012 Internship and Career Center Community Service Award: Silver Level. This is an award given by the Internship and Career Center of UC Davis to recognize outstanding student community service while maintaining full-time student status. There are three levels to this award, Bronze, Silver and Gold, that are awarded based on the number of hours the participant has completed at their service organization.

Student Volunteer of the Year Emanuel Medical Center Jun 2010 This award was presented to me, as the volunteer having served the greatest amount of hours at the hospital in the shortest amount of time. I dedicated 3002 hours at Emanuel Medical Center in 4 years, while maintaining a full-time education program at Turlock Christian High. The award was presented at the volunteer awards ceremony for the hospital administration/auxiliary board members and accompanied a $1,000 Ethel Nicholson Scholarship.
