      My job as a lifeguard was to examine injured persons and administer first aid or cardiopulmonary resuscitation and, if necessary, using training and medical supplies and equipment. I was expected to contact emergency medical personnel in case of serious injury, rescue distressed persons, use rescue techniques and equipment, and patrol or monitor recreational swimming areas. I also warned recreational participants of inclement weather, unsafe areas, or illegal park conduct.

      As a hostess I was expected to greet patrons at the door with a smile. I maintained waiting lists and seating charts as well as answered any questions guests had about the restaurant and menu. I walked guests to their seats and took drink orders for the servers if necessary. I ran food to tables if needed and bussed tables after guests had finished their meals and left the restaurant.

I also help on the abattoir floor, leading animals from the holding pens to the inside of the plant and assisting in the preparation of carcasses for USDA inspection. I help in carcass fabrication and processing, restocking retail cases and freezers as well as retrieving requested items from storage for the customers. I help oversee the training of new employees on the proper techniques for assembly and disassembly of machinery and proper sanitation practices. Show less
