  Being the second busiest car hire branch in the U.K., my responsibilities as an I.T Returns Controller for Europcar. Involved detailed updating of clients contracts upon return, assessment of vehicles for damage and entering new Insurance paper work on to the Europcar database as well as this accessing clients’ accounts to confirm bank transaction fees/costs as required. Detailed reports were required upon the end of a contract for each client, with an average of 280 returning clients each day. Overtime hours involved transporting company vehicles to/from clients and for vehicle repairs and to the distribution unit. North west Coast Connections (NWCC) Client National GridNorth West Coast Connections is a project to connect the proposed 3,800 megawatt nuclear power station at Moorside near Sellafield to the main national grid electricity network The connection proposed to build is around 164 kilometers (102 miles) long The largest Scheme National Grid has ever done. It broadly follows the path taken by existing Electricity North West (ENW) pylon lines running around the coast of west Cumbria between Carlisle and the Furness peninsula, before going through a tunnel under Morecambe Bay to Lancashire. The total cost of building our proposed connection will be around £2.8 billion.Brought on to North West coast connections (NWCC) Contract, Working Full time in Kendal at National Grid office as Design Technician acting as Assistant Engineer/Coordinator being fully involved in the Meetings and design decisions. Predominately under the Cable Scheme I have taken responsibility of Design coordinator for all works involved with Special Crossing and Ground investigation involving all third parties associated (i.e sub-contractors) Coordination involving additional survey. Accompanying this assisting as on site supervisor on behalf of national grid for other third parties site visits/works. In between Site works and coordination i work heavily in with the drafting team, for the OHL & Cable Scheme. Producing various types of technical drawings using AutoCAD, Micro station and mostly Esri ArcGIS for route mapping and work plans drawings. Show less
