  Myunghoon Ko is an associate research engineer in the Texas A&M Transportation Institute’s Crash Analysis Group, the Center for Transportation Safety. He worked as a safety inspector for the Korea Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport for four and half years prior to initiating his studies for a doctoral degree. Dr. Ko has participated in Federal Highway Administration and Texas Department of Transportation research projects as well as an international project focused on the evaluation of the effectiveness of crash countermeasures on roads.His interest areas are statistical analysis of collected crash/observed data and evaluation of safety measures, as well as sustainable highway geometric design. In addition, his interest areas extend to developing driving simulations integrating wth eye-tracking systems to measure driver performance and the safety education for young pedestrians and bicyclists and senior drivers.
