      My responsibilities cover following 4 functions. 1. M&E System Design:- Support the development of the M&E System in line with donor requirements and needs of the project,- Elaborate, pilot and validate quantitative and qualitative monitoring tools as well as design the corresponding data collection procedures,- Lead efforts in reviewing existing evaluation approaches and to promote more rigorous and impact-oriented evaluation designs,- Support and engage in the design and management of constructive information feedback loops to inform program design,- Performing other duties as assigned.2. M&E Implementation:- Lead designing and application of qualitative and quantitative monitoring tools to track program performance in line with the Theory of Change and the M&E Plan,- Provide technical support to programme/project staff in the implementation of their monitoring responsibilities to ensure correct and timely collection of monitoring data,- Coordinate collection and analysis of real-time program monitoring data collected on a monthly. termly and annual basis,- Support the Head of AKRSP's M&E section to respond to donor data queries in an accurate and timely manner.- Elaborate and design Impact Reports based on impact evaluation results according to donor and AKRSP's needs,- Compile and publish quantitative and qualitative monitoring results in visually-attractive Monitoring Reports for internal and external audiences/stakeholders.3. Reporting:- Develop periodic reports incorporating progress under different projects and share with donor in line with donor agreements,- Ensure high standard quality in reporting systems,- Keep track of donor reporting requirements, changes in requirements and respond to changes.4. Show less As a programme support officer, my routine duties included:-Assisting M&E head in reviewing monthly, quarterly and annual reports related to all AKRSP projects ranging from agriculture to infrastructure and public health (specifically COVID19),-Assisting M&E head in quality checking of reports before publication,-Participating in project planning meetings, giving input to theory of change (ToC),-Acting as a focal person for M&E section at AKRSP. In this roles, I have specifically assisted the Head of M&E section in:-Producing the final set of planning document for the Central Asia Poverty (CAP) Programme of AKRSP,-Quality control of the periodic progress reports of COVID19 response projects,-Reviewing the analysed data and the zero-draft report of the ‘Organizational Capacity Assessment Survey (OCAS)’ 2020 which was conducted for the AQCESS project of AKRSP.       Regional Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning (MERL) Officer - Central and South Asia

      As Regional MERL Officer, I work closely with the F4HE Regional Team, AKF/AKDN implementing partners, Aga Khan University, the AKF Global Program Team, and AKFC.Following are my specific responsibilities: Design and Planning- Contribute to the MERL-specific components of the programme implementation plan, providing guidance on MERL planning and budgeting;- Support program staff, technical specialists and M&E staff on developing and planning key components of the F4HE gender sensitive MERL system;- Provide support in the development of country-specific MERL plans, including data collection tools; - Identify platforms and mechanisms to systematically store project data.Data Collection Oversight and Coordination- Coordinate and provide technical oversight of regional MERL-based consultancies, including mixed methods baseline and endline studies, and keeping track of study implementation;- Support country units to design and implement robust quality assurance practices in local data collection processes;- Support the Research Committee with the oversight of the implementation of research projects.Data Use, Learning, Engagement, Dissemination- Facilitate/coordinate regular program review and reflection sessions to ensure use of learnings for strategic and programmatic decision-making at all levels;- Facilitate regular reviews of the project’s theory of change;- Support country units to determine any MERL capacity building initiatives required and outline a plan to support this through virtual and in-person training/coaching, mentorship and technical support;- Build relationships and maintain coordinated communications within AKDN system and other local partners;- Conduct field visits for ongoing technical and coordination support to field teams.Reporting and Governance- Contribute to F4HE MERL-specific reporting and donor compliance requirements;- Participate in project steering committees and other relevant governance meetings.
