    • TangarineIT Ltd.

      Oct 2006 - Mar 2014
      Technical Director

Achievements• I started looking after the ICT needs of SME’s, as well as contract IT work for larger organizations within the Cork Region. Over the next eight years, I grew this to looking after the ICT needs of over 50 companies within Ireland. In order to succeed I had to analyse their business processes and operations, and as the majority of clients did not have a structured approach when it came to their IT management, in terms of budget or the impact it would have on their business. It was my job to ascertain firstly what the client’s IT needs were; secondly what the businesses future requirements might be; and finally, devise a strategy to facilitate their IT needs in line with their budget.• I put SLA’s in place with all my clients and I was the first point of call whenever the company had an IT or telecommunication problem. Once the problem was ascertained it was under my remit to get it fixed. I started the company by promising that all IT problems would be dealt within an hour of the original phone call, which really set me apart from the competition and provided CitrusIT with a competitive edge. During the eight years all of my clients came from ‘word of mouth’ advertising. • Have identified numerous business opportunities for my clients by introducing them to new technologies which have helped streamline their business processes. To do this required a thorough understanding of both the clients business and an understanding of the software development process, as well as using methodologies to complete the design and integration of the software into the clients business. A number of these projects have been successful and have led to increased revenue for the client.• I have also built my own CRM system for the medical profession which doubled their annual turnover and is still in use today. I have also developed and supported live use applications for companies to use to help them with certain decision making processes. Show less
