  Responsible in designing, calculating & nominating all structural parts in crane design for a given projects. Respond to issues related to structural integrity of overall crane design part from Production Department during fabrication, assembly & commissioning stage. Perform Crane analysis to determine crane rating and designing structural component such as boom, deck/turret, mast, pedestal, platforms and etc in compliance to ABS, BV, API 2C & API RP requirements. Improve current crane design to optimize reliability, functionality & reduce man hours in completing a crane whilst reduces cost producing a crane. Guide junior engineers in finalizing design and counter check their work. Preparing company standard and procedure for several offshore crane handling such as slew ring change out procedure and strain gauge authentication test to ensure functionality and validate structural integrity.Other scope covered:- Create and review designs, calculations, drawings, specifications and etc, involving existing and new structural that meets client’s specification and performance requirements. -Prepare drawing GA layouts and analyze designs. Participate in planning, scheduling and work closely with other project team members to ensure cranes delivered on time and within its budget. -Perform feasibility study when introducing new design concept into existing system. -Provide technical support to other department on structural related issues. -Prepare documentations such as Engineering Change Notice (ECN) to ensure conformance to client’s specification and procedures related to engineering activities. -Work closely with QA/QC and Production Dept. to establish root-cause and develop solution for problems arising from design to fabrication stage.
