Our group helped to develop a respite home for at-risk youth, performed various duties at an animal refugee site, and built a soccer field in a small village within Santa Cruz with the volunteer organization Siempre Amigos. Had the opportunity of a lifetime as a Trip Leader for the European On Tour program for teens aged 16-18 for the renowned Westcoast Connections youth travel company. Being given the ability to step outside my comfort zone and gain valuable leadership skills in the process, all while seeing exploring four countries over the course of 21 days will always be one of my favourite, most memorable, life-changing experiences.
