  Hmong in Health is a student organization on the University of California, Davis campus. We promote Hmong students to a career in health through pre-health conferences and workshops with health professionals. We strive to develop an awareness of Hmong medicine and culture among UCD students and the local community. Most importantly, we also establish a network among Hmong pre-health students at UCD to provide academic support for our students. As President, I oversaw all affairs within the organization and delegated responsibilities to all officers, chaired all officer meetings and coordinated the general management of the organization, and created a database of contacts: Hmong medical students, physicians, undergraduates, outreach schools, other health professionals and organizations.   EMRAP is a program for undergraduates to learn about research and healthcare within a busy emergency department. As a Clinical Research Associate, I observed HIPAA regulations in the Emergency Department and assisted Research Coordinators and health professionals in enrolling patients for clinical trials with emphasis on patient care and patient health.

  As a Behavioral Health Technician, I provided direct service to our clients through 1:1's, treatment groups, ADL’s, and medication support.   The HLUB Clinic is a student-run free clinic formed to provide culturally and linguistically appropriate health care services to the Hmong community. They are in partnership with Paul Hom Asian Clinic to meet the health needs of the Asian community. HLUB focuses on providing free medical services to the Hmong population and educating them in hopes to lessen the health disparities that exist in the Hmong population of Sacramento.
