  As a Casual Rowing Coach at Canberra Girls Grammar over five seasons, I coached a range of crews, including the Year 10 Quad, Senior Women’s Second Eight, and Senior First Four. Drawing from my own competitive rowing experience, I fostered an environment of resilience, teamwork, and dedication. I worked closely with athletes to develop technical skills, mental toughness, and a strong work ethic, empowering students to push their limits both on and off the water.   Head Senior Resident

  In 2021, I was appointed Head Senior Resident, overseeing the pastoral care system within the residential hall of John XXIII College. In this leadership role, I managed a team of 12 Senior Residents, supporting them in addressing critical student wellbeing issues and ensuring a high standard of care. I acted as a liaison between the residential administration and the residents, implementing effective strategies for promoting mental and emotional wellbeing.Prior to being Head of Pastoral Care, I was a Senior Resident where I was responsible for the pastoral care of 50 students on my allocated corridor. I developed strong, trusting relationships with residents, offering guidance and support when needed. My role required balancing empathy and leadership to ensure a safe, supportive environment where students could thrive personally and academically.   Project Intern

  In this role, I worked on a project examining the adequacy of compensation for the Stolen Generations. This involved researching historical and contemporary issues related to the impact on affected communities. My findings were used as a reference point for the First Nations Portfolio to advise and recommend policies aimed at addressing past injustices. The project required careful analysis, sensitivity to the lived experiences of those affected, and a commitment to advocating for meaningful change. The insights gained were integral in shaping recommendations for improving compensation and support for the Stolen Generations. Show less
