  Lindsay instructed college classes on how to develop film and photographs. In additon to instructing the college classes she also maintained the chemicals used for developing, opened and closed the dark room, assisted students in their photography assignments, and was knowledgeable of their assignments.

  Community Relations Specialist

  As a Community Relations Specialist, Lindsay managed the public relations and day-to-day operations of Hill Air Force Base’s (Hill AFB) Air Sampling program. Her responsibilities included coordination of air sampling requests and sampling results, created and distributed air sampling packets and informational material and responded to air sampling questions. She also managed a comprehensive database, which tracked all communication and interactions Hill AFB and it's contractors had with over 5,000 homes/businesses. As a team, their company organized, managed and produced Informational Fairs, Restoration Advisory Board meetings, and City Council updates to seven cities for the Base to develop public awareness. Lindsay interacted with the public via informational fairs, door-to-door communications, phone calls, community interviews, website requests, email, U.S. mail, and Restoration Advisory Board meetings.   Public Involvement Specialist

  During her first four years with WSP, Lindsay provided the public involvement services on a number of transportation projects. Her roles included being the construction outreach manager, consultant project manager, and task lead. Lindsay maintained the flow of communication simultaneously on numerous projects between project management, construction team, local cities, and stakeholders. Her responsibilities included identification of outreach tactics, being the liaison for Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) projects to the community, planning meetings and events, and the creation/development/distribution of outreach materials to reflect the goals and messages of the projects. Content creation included: Key messages, project goals, factsheets, infographics, Q&As, flyers, social media posts, email and website updates, maps, reports, safety outreach, letters, and postcards.   Communications and Public Involvement Manager

  As WSP’s Utah Communications and Public Involvement Manager, Lindsay continued to lead construction outreach for one of Utah’s largest construction projects, the Mountain View Corridor. Lindsay dedicated seven years of her career to the construction of 10 miles of the new highway ensuring the project was successful and the surrounding communities were engaged. At the end of each of the three construction segments, Lindsay was an integral part of the team in planning and executing celebratory opening events. Each of these events had over 800 participants to come out to celebrate the new part of their community. The participation at these events is a measure of Lindsay’s achievement in her role on the project. The years of construction were not easy on the surrounding neighborhoods, but through her work the project was viewed as a positive addition to their city. In addition to working on the Mountain View Corridor, Lindsay grew the Utah communications team through her success as a project manager. These projects provided opportunities for staff to grow in their careers. Lindsay enjoyed being a mentor to local and national staff to help them achieve their goals. As a project manager Lindsay was responsible for maintaining and facilitating client relations, winning contracts, development of strategic communications, scopes of work and budgets, creation of consumable outreach materials, formulation of schedule, crisis communication, uphold deadlines, and oversaw staff.
