  July 2015 - February 2021: Dispatcher/Field Trip Coordinator, McKinney-Vento Program Specialist, and Bus DriverAs a dispatcher it is my job to ensure that we as a team (routers and drivers) get our students of the Auburn School District; to and from school safely. Once I arrive I take over the radio and assist drivers who call in for assistance. Throughout the day I assign "mid-day" runs and field trips. I post field trips for drivers to sign for and make any necessary changes requested by schools or transportation. We currently use Tyler's Versatrans Triptracker, which I assisted in implementing and piloted during the 2015-2016 school year with 5 schools and introduced to the remaining 17 schools during the 2016-2017 school year. Prior to the 2015-2016 school year we used a now obsolete system called Rainshadow Field Trip. I also assist parents and schools with busing information for school bus stop locations, times and bus numbers using Tyler's Versatrans Routing and Planning. Within the Routing and Planning program I ensure that all boundaries are up to date as well as working with a router to make sure that any students within the program who are labeled as "unlocated" because of an error in the address are corrected, I have recently been tasked with cleaning up students whose "School/Grade/Program" have an error and students who are marked for deletion. I am also the district specialist for using ESRI's ArcMap program to provide district boundary maps to the public via the district website. The last two pieces of my job are as the McKinney-Vento Program Specialist; working with our District McKinney-Vento Liaison and school counselors and as the Department Technology Advisor, where I reset staff passwords for computer access as well as assisting with any other technology needs. Acted as the Assistant Liaison for McKinney-Vento in the absence of our liaison, processing student data and providing it to our routers as well as with billing school districts as needed for sharing the cost of transporting students. Backed up the office manager as needed while working with department staff in resetting passwords for computer use and any other technology needs. Also, to ensure that Transportation goals were met. Another priority in my duties was to ensure that all routes were up to date in our routing software. At the time of being Coordinator, the Grandview School District used EduLog. Once routes were up to date, drivers are notified of these changes and provided with updated route sheets.It was also during this time, that with enough appeal that the Grandview School District purchased Tyler Technology's Traversa. One of my main tasks was to support our drivers in making sure our students are successful in their ride to and from school and reaching out to families when their support is needed. A secondary portion to my duties was to request Charter Buses for athletic and field trips. I also supported our department by dispatching and/or driving when needed. At the end of the 2022-2023 school year, I re-implemented a kindergarten orientation program and worked with six (6) drivers who provided training to our current and incoming kindergarten families.
