  The intern conducts MIS data capturing of child protection cases at the Department of Social Welfare in Shurugwi District. WEI is supporting the Ministry in rolling out the MIS pilot in the district. The MIS is meant to store and track individual child protection case file records and enable analysis of large volumes of data. MIS review findings describe the potential for the MIS to support and enhance case management process as a system that enhances improved accountability for case allocation, case assessment and case closure. The MIS as a reporting tool is aimed at saving significant time spent on data entry, while resulting in vast improvements to the quality of child protection data being reported for capturing.
