Responsible for team completing corporate analysis and financial reporting for Fawley Fuels and Lubes, including setting Business Plan, stewarding refinery opex and analysing Solomon competitiveness. Responsible for sharing financial metrics to management and regional communications. Responsible for team setting refinery strategy and gross margin aims from short term to long term across Fuels, Lubes and Chemicals on site. Responsible for planning margin improvement at the refinery which achieved better than plan results each year I was in charge. Responsible for setting long term strategy, and resourcing to meet timeline for implementation across a varied portfolio of initiatives for the Fuels Value Chain from zero cost to multi-million investments. Tasked with developing and setting vision for new team to take ownership of non-process assets at the refinery. This included developing strategies for key assets to support the business needs of the refinery and growing income from leased assets. Second Line Supervisor responsible for managing daily operations at refinery marine terminal. Responsibilities included safety and risk management of operations; interactions with Port of Southampton; management of team of employees plus contractors; and optimisation of terminal operations. No injuries or safety events occurred whilst in charge. - Responsible for screening crude for suitability for processing on the refinery.- Analysis of refinery data and screening of projects.- Responsible for coordinating Supply projects.- Stand-in crude scheduler and heavy products & lubes scheduler.- Responsible for leading Demurrage reduction initiatives. Responsible for managing clean product balances and ensuring reliable supplies to terminals and major UK airports. Daily optimisation of FCC, Residfiner, 2 hydrofiners, 2 sulphur units, sour water stripper and amine system.Responsible for inspecting equipment during FCC turnaround.Leader for various trials on the FCC to improve performance against constraints. Daily optimisation of the Fluid Catalytic Cracker unit at a refinery. Problem solving for the unit and solution implementation. Development of margin improvement projects. Monitoring of units. Reporting of emissions. Refinery interactions with the unit. Daily optimisation of hydroprocessing residue upgrade unit. Catalyst selection, loading, modelling and monitoring. Troubleshooting.
