  Participated in planning, designing, and reviewing plans for structures requiring advanced structural analysis to determine static and dynamic responses. This included the design of bridges, retaining structures, residential properties and industrial warehouses. Other responsibilities included construction programming, quality assurance, coordinating deliverables, project status reporting and administering occupational health and safety policies.

  Senior Structural Engineer

  SCIRT forms part of the alliance tasked with the rebuild of all damaged horizontal infrastructure in Christchurch. My scope of work included code driven design calculations; seismic, wind, stress and finite element analysis; fitness for service evaluations and redesign for continuing operation. Projects included 2 bridges ranging from 25m to 210m long, water storage facilities, and various steel structures. The projects were in the range of $2M to $15M.

  I have acquired a high level of experience working in a project management environment within the Australian and New Zealand Transportation Sector as demonstrated in my employment at MRWA and GHD Limited.Since 2009 I have actively contributed in numerous project management roles, I have managed several projects through the project life cycle of assess, plan, execute and closure phases (plan, develop, deliver closure phases). I believe for a project to be successful it must be well planned with set tasks and milestones; meet the client’s needs; identify and manage risks associated with finite resources within set timeframes. In 2013 I was selected as Project Manager for the Fremantle Traffic and Rail Bridges Pier Protection Project, which involves constructing five concrete dolphins at the downstream end of the rail bridge and an improved steel fender system at the traffic bridge.
