      Prefect

Alexandria Park Community is a small community school with a small selective school cohort. I was apart of the selective school cohort and participated in improving the new community school by being apart of the SRC and as school Prefect from 2009-2010. My role involved having weekly meetings with all SRC members to allocate tasks to students who volunteer their time to help school raise money in fundraisers and other school events.

    • Momentum Promotions Australia

      Dec 2011 - Nov 2013
      Sales Assistant

Promoted fragrances in Myer and David Jones through out the year with higher sales targets during holidays. Worked in a team and had extensive knowledge about fragrances and used communication skills and body language to help choose a fragrance that was best suited to a client.

    • THE FACE SHOP

      Nov 2013 - May 2014
      Assistant Sales Manager

Initially I was a junior part time sales assistant however after 3 weeks I was promoted to part time sales assistant. I later on became the assistant sales manager for The Face Shop located in The Galleries after the previous manager was promoted. As the store manager I had to make sure every team member was ready for work by having strong knowledge of all the products in the store. This knowledge is a requirement to work as a skincare consultant at The Face Shop, which meant I would have to educate new colleagues and mentor them before letting them consult customers on their own. I had to have an understanding of the skin's anatomy, different conditions and allergies to make correct recommendations. I also helped and encouraged the team to meet weekly sales targets and gave individual feedback to each colleague at the end of each month based on their performance with tips on how to improve. I managed the store's stock and made orders and transfers from different stores which required strong organisational and communication skills. Show less

    • Cincotta Discount Pharmacy

      Mar 2015 - Nov 2015
      Pre-Intern Clinical Placement

Attended pre-intern clinical placement at Cincotta for one year. This was my first experience as a pharmacy student in a community pharmacy setting. I was at Cincotta every Wednesday and I also attended two 2 week block placements there. Each time I was there I would improve on my dispensing skills, becoming faster and more organised. I helped the staff restock the shelves with medications and I would also make orders through API. As time went by and I gained more trust from my preceptor I was allowed to pack Websters for nursing home patients and regular patients. Through out the year I gained more therapeutic knowledge and was allowed to counsel patients taking new medications and for S2 and S3 products. Show less

    • Barone Pharmacy

      Feb 2016 - May 2022

I work in a pharmacy that does on average 400 scripts a day. As PIC I work in a team environment and not only make sure I reach my own personal KPIs such as monthly MedsChecks/Diabetes Checks/Pain MedsCheck but also help the rest of the team with the workload so that the pharmacy as a whole is able to run smoothly. I work with a great team of pharmacists who all provide different professional services to the community such as support for mental health, sleep studies, weight management, opioid replacement therapy and dose administration aids. I constantly work on having a deep understanding of the co-morbidities that affect the population most in this area; which is why I am comfortably able to recommend the correct medications and self care advice for patients with high CVD risk and diabetes but am also working towards specialising in medicinal cannabis as well as drug and alcohol withdrawal.I work with nursing homes and manage patient's Dose Administration Aids; as they are large facilities I am required to be well organised and have a systematic approach to avoid packing errors and ensuring the Webster packs are delivered on time. I am currently the training officer; I identify knowledge gaps in each individual staff member and create training programs. I am also the roster manager so I oversee all workload and allocate resources appropriately. Show less As an intern pharmacist at a pharmacy who is passionate about providing quality care to patients. I provide professional services such as blood pressure monitoring, counselling patients on all their medications and helping them better manage their medications with the aid of dose administration aids. I spend time with my patients and provide a holistic approach to managing their health by ensuring quality use of medications and improve their lifestyle through practice based and evidence based advice. I maintain good relationships with prescribers and work closely with them to help provide patients the most beneficial medication regimen. Show less

      Feb 2016 - Feb 2016
      Pre-Intern Clinical Placement

Attended pre-intern clinical placement at Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) for a total of two weeks. During my time at RNSH I followed the timetable given to me but as hospital pharmacists were busy I often chose my own preceptors if they were happy to have me. This showed that I am flexible and able to adapt to different situations. I was able to reinforce the skills taught at uni by interviewing patients, performing MMPs, reconciling their list of medications before discharge. I also attended lunch meetings, which allowed doctors and pharmacists to learn more about certain conditions and allowed them to reflect on what could have been done better. As all cases are unique and must be approached differently these lunch meetings helped healthcare professionals reflect on their actions and thought process. Show less
