      In my position with the George Brown Faculty I was responsible for assisting both in the classroom and the machine shop. I delivered demonstrations and lessons on proper machine operation and safety as well a variety of other measurement and machining techniques. Additionally, I was responsible for the maintenance and organization of the CNC and machine shops which include: tooling, designing and producing jigs/fixtures, installing and trouble shooting machines, practicing health and safety standards and improving organization and allocation of shop equipment. This position required that I have thorough knowledge of the materials and machines I work with as well as excellent communication and problem solving skills. Show less

These projects ranged from tool and die to robotic, electronic and mechanical system design. I worked closely with a design team to develop and test new concepts using Solidworks CAD modeling and simulation software and a variety of CNC and manual fabrication techniques. I am a capable CNC machinist and an experienced designer for basic mechanical systems. Problem solving, organization and time management are essential skills required for this position.       Best Prototype Award George Brown College - School of Mechanical Engineering Technologies Apr 2016 In the final year of my technologist program at George Brown students work with industry partners to develop a first revision prototype for new product concepts. Working with our industry partner, Quantum Robotic Systems, our team designed and manufactured a prototype for a hybrid robotic stair climbing hand truck.       CNC Precision Machining - Bronze Medal @ Skills Ontario Competition Skills Ontario May 2015 I was chosen to represent George Brown College at the Skills Ontario Competition for CNC Precision Machining. Using CAM Software and manual programming with HAAS control contestants had to machine a Lathe and Mill part to specification within 3 hours. The Haas ST-20 CNC Lathe and VF-2 CNC Mill were the machines used. I achieved 3rd place overall in the province.
