I was in charge of developing & rolling out the comms, marketing & engagement strategy for B Lab in Africa while supporting and amplifying the work of the B Corp movement across 15 countries.Key Accomplishments:⭐️ Developed and implemented a first ever communications and marketing strategy for Africa in collaboration with B Lab Global⭐️ Organized the first B Corp Sustainability Summit in Africa (in partnership with the BMW Foundation) that brought together entrepreneurs, investors, academia and B Corp businesses from 8 countries to identify collaborative ways of powering the shift to sustainability for SME businesses in Africa.⭐️ Script Writer & Producer for TEDx feature: Surprising Power of Small to Save the Planet [SME Businesses Leading the Fight Against Climate Change - bit.ly/TrevorxTed⭐️ Event Lead coordinating B Lab’s participation at COP27 - organizing 3 side events in the Blue and Green Zone in partnership with We Mean Business and Danone.⭐️ Led the campaign ideation and execution of the SDG Innovation Challenge across 15 countries that doubled sdgactionmanager.com user numbers in a month, and helped grow awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals among businesses in Africa.⭐️ Co-developed and executed marketing campaigns, such as B Corp is #TheMarkThatMatters and Best for the World, growing brand awareness in Africa by 56%, and pipeline revenue from $18000 in 2019 to over $100,000 in 2020⭐️ Developed a B Corp Engagement Strategy doubling Community Engagement in Africa from an estimated 31% in 2019 to 74%⭐️ Coordinated closely with the Fundraising Team and the Global Leadership Team in fundraising efforts, including proposal writing and donor engagement⭐️ Led content creation, web design and management for b-labafrica.net⭐️ Communications & Engagement support to over 58 B Corp certified companies in 15 countries.
