  As a festival ambassador, I promoted and positioned Ottawa as Canada’s Festival Capital – an exciting place for residents and visitors! Key responsibilities included:- Promoting Ottawa’s festivals, fairs and special events to local visitors and tourists in the Ottawa ByWard Market, alongside the ByWard Market BIA summer student ambassador team- Engaging visitors, helping them capture their visitor memories in the York Street Plaza- Conducting ByWard Market walk-abouts and walking tours- Supporting animations or performances by festival artistsI also conducted research and data collection on the success of a pilot project to enhance local tourism's visibility in partnership with local and provincial officials, various cultural organisations and local businesses.   Elected Student Representative

  As a Student Representative, I communicated and negotiated on behalf of students in administrative and academic meetings (Board of Directors, Deans, Campus Directors). I also participated in thematic working groups on curriculum and academic development. Part of a team of representatives, I engaged in mediation and conflict resolution (individual dilemmas: scholarship, health, academics...) but also ensured efficient communication between the administration and students (reports, social media, emails, town halls)Took on the role of CIVICA alliance ambassador,where I supported the development of the CIVICA alliance, a European Universities pilot project with a € 5M budget allocated by the European Commission. I organized forums and provided project support, consultation and outreach to the student body. I also worked with the Hertie School to develop CIVIC FuturEU and led the development of the European Student Assembly.   Worked on the “Empowering Women for Leadership Roles in the MENA Region: Jordan, Morocco, and Tunisia” project in an international NGO with a mission to strengthen inclusive and responsive governance, including pluralism and gender equality, in federal, decentralized, and transitioning countries. During my time with the Forum, I: - Implemented and reviewed international development assistance programs to strengthen gender equality in governance in the Middle East and North Africa according to GAC’s RBM guidelines + assisted in the development and application of monitoring and administrative policies in a reliable and timely manner.- Copy-edited funder reports, web reports & social media posts. Developed TORs as well as reviewed partner-organization narrative reports and MOUs.- Conducted extensive research on thematic issues in English, French, Arabic and Spanish and assisted in the development and application of monitoring and administrative policies for the MENA project. - Developed a regional mentorship program and youth engagement strategy.
