  Project manage application development, piloting, rollout and infrastructure deployment. I undertook 4 projects for deployment of switches, desktops, laptops, digital phones, printers. On top of that I project managed the setting up of a call center for 95 agents equipped with VOIP technology and a data center. These projects involved looking after about 30 technicians and managing a budget of over 60 million Rands. All these projects were completed in a record time of 1 year despite the fact that deployment took place in all the 9 provinces of South Africa. Show less

  Advised on the enhancement of the old Home and Community Based Care (HCBC) system for the monitoring of service delivery to the orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) in all the provinces of South Africa. The resultant new system is now called Community Based Intervention Monitoring System (CBIMS) and does not only focus on OVC but on all community based interventions affecting vulnerable people (children, youth and elderly). I was responsible for reviewing change requests for approval and liaising with provincial IT to provide internet connectivity to enable community care givers access CBIMS. I also managed the Service Level Agreement (SLA) for support and maintenance. I advised on all technical aspects of developing, piloting and rolling out the system to all the provinces. I also managed the service providers with regard to development, support and maintenance, change request implementation, integration and migration. I was personally involved in piloting and rolling out the system (create users, develop user manuals, train and handle any technical aspects). Due to lack of internet in rural areas I project managed the development of an off-line system which synchronises into the online CBIMS. This increased the chances of sustainability and data capturing and consequently the use of CBIMS information for decision making. Show less
