      My role at Clifton Photography was to train and manage the sales/promotions team and to achieve the prescribed sales targets. My team and I worked on high streets and in major retail centres, engaging with members of the public and promoting and selling a range of photo shoot packages. Confidence, self-motivation and a positive mind-set were all vital attributes for this role, and it was when working in this capacity that I was approached on behalf of Warren James for the position of store manager at their new Bristol branch.       At the age of 19 I was surprised to be headhunted during my time working for a sales company by a director of Warren James Jewellers Limited to be branch manager of their brand new store opening on the fringe of Cabot Circus in Bristol. I was evaluated, without my knowledge, by one of the area managers during my shifts as a team leader at Clifton Photographic Company. With over 170 branches in the UK operating a coordinated corporate strategy, the management wanted a fresh young perspective on marketing and jewellery products. Immediately following my initial training I started in charge of a team of ten and was given considerable independence and autonomy, despite my inexperience. I managed the branch without a deputy manager for seven months and was successful in growing and developing the store and achieving its sales, profitability and market share targets. I was responsible for every aspect of management of the branch including the administration and efficient daily operation, the stock, training, staff recruitment and management, interviewing/hiring, finances, targets, sales, any issues and our customers. I faced some very difficult challenges but learned to use my initiative, and gained valuable experience during my time at Warren James before leaving in order to start my degree course. Show less

      I work part time, on the side of my degree, as a team leader, managing teams of up to 10 on different projects. I organise events around Bristol, and other parts of the UK, promoting large brands and businesses. I quickly gained the management skills and ability to think quickly on my feet, the confidence to keep my team motivated and strong organisational skills. Hels Angels Ltd. awarded me team leader of the month in November 2014.
