    • Roche

      Oct 1990 - Oct 2013

I provided Global Marketing with actionable recommendations based on our primary market research. Additionally, I developed and led a training, visioning, and process improvement workshop for the entire Global Marketing Communications department. The workshop was conducted near Munich, Germany, close to the department's headquarters. The improved process involved the department in the product launch process much earlier than before, which eliminated the urgent "surprise" product launch deliverables. This change improved the quality of the marketing deliverables and smoothed out the project timelines. Show less Managed the marketing side of the launch process. My trainer skills were utilized to evaluate the performance needs (human performance improvement) of the product managers. I provided a variety of services and projects, such as planning and executing "road shows". I also led a group to begin improving the Molecular Diagnostics section of MyLabOnline.com. With my computer experience, I transitioned the marketing web site from standard HTML pages to the more user-friendly SharePoint environment and created an extensive "competitor portal." Show less

    • Geist Montessori Academy

      Jul 2014 - May 2018

As a classroom assistant, I supported the lead teacher by working with students who needed help with assignments, led reading groups, and performed basic clerical tasks. Additionally, I was able to use my instructional design experience to develop some unique materials to augment the curriculum (see Montessori Materials Development - Landforms and Montessori Materials Development - Ancient Civilizations Project). The class I supported included grades 4, 5, and 6. I transitioned to the role of Special Education Assistant after the Thanksgiving break to fill an unexpected resignation. In this new role I served 30+ students in groups as well as one-on-one in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade. I led reading groups, writing groups, and helped with all other topics as needed by the student(s) and their Individual Education Plans (IEP's). I developed tools to help students develop a systematic approach to solving word problems and other types of math assignments. When I started with one of my 6th-grade students, she was not able to complete even one 5th-grade word problem in our 30 minute time allotment. After working with her on basic math skills, some cognitive skill development, and using the tool I developed, by year's end she was able to complete five 6th-grade word problems in our 30 minute sessions.
