      Mechanical Engineering Intern

At Concurrent Technologies Corporation I worked as part of a multidisciplinary team to research and develop a plan for a waste to energy system for the department of defense. As the mechanical engineer on the team I focused on the pre-processing of the waste prior to entering the waste to energy system. The pre-processing included but not limited to focusing on what material would be used, the state of the material, and how to ensure the most efficient waste material.

      Application Engineering Co-op

During my first term at Emerson Climate Technologies I was an application engineering co-op. I collected and analyzed performance history data from different field sites. The data was used to analyze the efficiency of the units and observe their behavior. I also had the opportunity to work with the design services network (DSN) and help solve quality issues that arose. While working with DSN I learned to braze as well as how to construct and wire condensing units for customers.

      Ouality Refrigeration Co-op

As a quality engineering co-op during my second term at Emerson Climate Technologies I was responsible for organizing weekly quality reports for customers. I assisted with the shipping of products, taking inventory of returned compressors and examining compressor tear downs. I was in charge of performing audits on line workers throughout the plant inorder to ensure the process was streamlined. My primary responsible was the ZMD26 compressor dilemma. Throughout the project I was able to use critical thinking and problem solving skills to discover why the ZMD26 compressors where returned and how the problem may be resolved. I took a leadership role while working with several different departments throughout the plant. Show less
