Santina has been working in the field of addiction since 1998. She had managed 4 Units in one of the main Drug Rehabilitation Programmes in Malta for 25 years. After finishing her Masters in Counselling she started her own private practice where she counsels people, in person, on line or in group form from all walks of life. She has numerous years of experience in supporting people facing various difficulties, from a wide range of different and sometimes overlapping addictions, childhood traumas, anxiety, depression, relational issues and stress. Santina is also a MBCT practitioner where mindful skills are incorporated guiding you to be more present in your life by raising awareness of how your thinking affects how you feel and in turn your behaviour. Clients seeks help for various issues that ultimately interfere with their overall well being. Counselling creates a safe space where you can share your experiences, thoughts and emotions. Santina uses mindful techniques which is somewhat a heightened sense of self awareness of your habitual thought patterns, exploring ways of how you can come to experience yourself and your life more consciously.
