  Honed my skills as a barista/waitress, and chimes with my personal values of sustainable living and combatting food waste. Responsible for updating our Instagram account, combining my creative flair with technical competence. I was also involved in making weddings and events truly memorable at Earthy – from décor to perfect garnishing to slick and attentive service.

  UniRoots is a new, student-run social enterprise striving to connect Bristol students with local businesses and producers, advocating the consumption of sustainable, local and ethical produce. Through our website and social media, UniRoots creates a platform for knowledge sharing on issues of sustainability, food waste and ethical living. During my final year, I have managed UniRoots' social media accounts, promoting our latest recipes, blogs and news to the wider student community.

  I volunteer at the Incredible Edible community gardens in Bristol. My participation in this project motivated me to base my 3rd-year dissertation around the community and the politics of urban gardening, exploring the benefits of implementing community gardens in the city space.
