      I brought kids ages 8-14 outdoors as part of the Westchester County Children's Summer Ecology camp and Conservationist in Training camp. I, with an assistant teacher, led campers in a variety of nature based crafts, games and activities that were aimed to expand camper's understanding of the natural world and their relation to it. Some activities included, nature journaling, dugout canoe building, friction fire, night hikes, exploring natural history literature, timeline of a tree (based on Aldo Leopold's piece "Good Oak", simulated oil spill, shelter building, exploration of forest floor, awareness games and trust games.       I was responsible for the re-organization of the Roosevelt Wildlife Collection, a collection of mammal and bird skins that is the only monument to Teddy Roosevelt that he authorized. The collection is used as a resource for both professors at the college and as a resource for greater scientific community. In this capacity I supervised and trained 9 volunteer interns in the organization or 3000 bird skins and 1500+ mammal skins and recorded pertinent information into excel files that will be posted online and enable this valuable resource to be viewed by scientists all over the world.
