  The Colombo City Centre development project is a USD 180 Million joint venture which is Sri Lanka’s first BOI-approved mixed development project.This project is not just a residential, hospitality based but a giant lifestyle project which is undertaking the development of 700-seat food court and 6-screen multiplex cinema, the upscale NEXT Hotel with 164 keys, and 192 luxurious residential .Colombo City Centre is 50 story building and it is the largest construction project (in value) which completed by a Sri Lankan local contractor.   The Central Expressway (E04), is an under construction road project that will link the Sri Lankan capital, Colombo, with Dambulla & Kandy. It will provide a fast alternative to the existing A1 Colombo - Kandy & A6 Ambepussa - Trincomalee Highways. The Expressway starts at the Kadawatha Interchange on the E02 Outer Circular Expressway and ends in Dambulla at the A9 Kandy - Jaffna Highway, traversing through Gampaha, Kurunegala & Matale Districts. A link Expressway starting from Pothuhera & ending in Galagedara will provide access to the Kandy District.As one of the 4 lead partners for the Section 2 of the expressway, KDAW will undertake work on the longest section, Package C from Rangallepola to Maditiyawala at an initial contract value of Rs. 32 Billion.   The project involves rehabilitation, improvement, and maintenance of a 14km section of the Colombo-Kandy (A-1) Highway.The project comes under the Integrated Road Investment Programme (iRoad) as part of an initiative to rehabilitate and improve five national roads. The project implemented by the Road Development Authority (RDA) and funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) involves work on a 60km section from Nittambuwa to Kadugannawa.WKK Engineering’s scope of work involves rehabilitation and improvement of the existing road, necessary culverts, drainage, milling and asphalting, protection works; safety fencing and barriers; guard rails, walls, guard stones and guide posts; traffic signs and road markings.The project is part of the RDA’s initiative for continuous maintenance and improvement of national roads necessary to maintain a good road network. Once complete, these improvements to the Colombo-Kandy (A-1) Highway are expected to significantly improve transport efficiency along one of the busiest thoroughfares in Sri Lanka. Show less
