      System and algorithm development for MEMS sensor fusion.

      Improvement of a foot-mounted pedestrian localization system. The development requiredthe application of the existing sensor fusion frameworks (Extended Kalman filtering,zero velocity updates, simple step detection...) and its extension by the incorporationof map induced motion constraints using a particle filter approach. The algorithms wereimplemented in Matlab and C++.
