  Electrical Engineering Intern

  Alhamdulillah! Today I started as Trainee Engineer in internship program at GENCO-1 JPCL, Jamshoro. It was really challenging experience and interesting as well, because of spending time in another city for the very first time, I met amazing and talented personalities and the people of Jamshoro were very humble and down to earth tbvh.JPCL GENCO-1 is a Thermal Power Station located st Jamshoro. It was started in 1998. This TPS contains four Units total of capacity 850 MW. The Unit 1 was constructed by Japanese company Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding Co. Ltd., , and Unit 2, 3, and 4 were constructed by Chinese company Harbin Electric Company Limited . In this internship I have learnt about the physical working of thermal power station, and contolling and monitoring of plant through control room.I have learnt about the following:Boiler (Water cycle, PTA, contolling valves water storage tanks)BurnerResidual Oil Cycle (Shifting and Transfer Pump)SuperheaterEconomizerCondenser Service Air Compressor and Instrument Air Compressor Emergency Diesel Generator (0.75MW)Turbines (HP, LP, IP)Cooling Tower (FD and ID fans)GovernerGenerator The overall experience was so good, InshAllah will gain more in future to enhance and learn more skills.
