I taught courses for the Counseling Dept. (Group Therapy, Counseling Cultural Differences, Encounter Lab), as well as 2 30-hr workshops I created. Navigating in These Troubled Times focused on Riane Eisler's work of exploring the dynamics of domination vs partnership-based social structure and developing principle-based communities to foster health and well-being. Empowering Women: Reclaiming our Voices, our Lives, helped women revision their history in more accurate and empowering ways, increasing self-image as women. Based largely on the work of Eisler and the Self-in-Relation theorists from Wellesley College's, The Stone Center for Research on Women. Show less

    • Holly Timberlake, Energy Psychologist

      Nov 1999 - now

I am a psychotherapist in private practice helping others to live more vibrant, authentic, and abundant lives by releasing negativity (stress, negative beliefs, effects of trauma and abuse) & learning skills for more conscious, empowered and energized living. My clientele is varied across a spectrum of issues, from anxiety, to depression, eating disorders, relationship issues, developmental trauma effects to those wanting more of a coaching structure to enhance the emotional an energetic healing work they are already doing. The methods I employ include: EFT, Energy Medicine, EMDR, holographic healing/guided imagery, Gestalt, cognitive, and existential therapies. I've created web-based guided self-healing and transformational meditations--Tapping Into the Field at www.TodaysTapping.com. Professional speaker, writer, and retreat facilitator round out my professional involvement. In addition to psychotherapy, I offer training to groups, organizations, and businesses for those working with people who have been traumatized, teaching them simple and powerfully effective, evidence-based, emotional regulation tools to both help them release the effects of this work on them, and to better help those with whom they work release anxiety and stress in the moment. I also am a member of a non-profit organization that helps survivors of sexual trauma and those who work with them delivering the same kinds of tools as mentioned above. Show less
