  Being at Egencia for many years allowed me to undertake several different roles. After being at the company for 2 years I decided to take an opportunity that was offered to me to be the Team Leader for the internal Hotel Support Team which was new division that was being started. In this role I was able to help in setting up the department which ranged from getting trained on the new system to setting up the processes that would be followed by all the European offices that would use the service. I was in this role for 6 months and really enjoyed the whole experience but wanted to get back in to the customer focused side of the business. I moved back to being a Senior Business Travel Consultant and was successful in becoming the lead agent on the companies biggest accounts. This was a great experience as I was able to assist in the training of the new company, the implementation of the company on to our systems, and building a good rapport with all the travel arrangers in the company. Working in this role was very rewarding and taught me a lot about the business and I was a key part in the success of the company with Egencia. Show less

  As a Campsite Courier for Canvas Holidays I was the face of the company. We had a variety of roles which included: Cleaning and preparing the tents/mobile homes for the customers arrival, welcoming the customers as they arrive on site for their holiday, making sure the customers are having a good holiday but visiting them every couple of days to make sure all was ok and maintenance of the tents/mobile homes to make sure they are all in good working order.My role with Canvas was based in the Brittany Region of France which was a great experience and I was really able to immerse myself in their culture and lifestyle and felt that it helped me find new ways to tackle my day to day tasks in my work life.   As a Chalet Host my partner and I looked after a 16 person chalet. This involved many different jobs including: Cleaning the chalet weekly for new guests, Welcoming the new Guests and helping them with Ski hire and Lift passes, cooking breakfast, afternoon tea and a 3 course meal, and generally looking after our guests to ensure they had a great holiday. Another role was as a Ski Host, this role involved guiding some of the guests around the resort for the day showing them the best parts to ski, which areas to avoid during busy times and to make their day on the slopes hassle free.
