      Jan 05 - Jan 06: Hays Construction/Plymouth City Council (PCC)Contract Floor Fitter: Duties included - Working within a varied range of PCC occupied/non-occupied domestic properties, offices, buildings and schools. The work carried out on a daily basis would involve the uplift, removal and replacement of a varieed range of floor coverings(sheet lino, Domestic vinyl and safety flooring, disable adaption wet rooms, Hospital operation rooms, Rubber and Rubber tiles, Domestic and Contract carpet, Vinyl Ceramic tiles, and Laminate.) To arranging entry/closure to the work sites with managers, caretakers, employers, residents and PCC. The nature of the work does mean that I am in effect my own boss, having to deal with people of all walks of life, with both the good and bad, trying to resolve disputes.Reason for leaving: Agency workers released due to budget cuts. These duties need both the abilties to work on ones own initiative and within a team.On a daily basis I have to consider the Health and Safety of all the residents, visitors and workers within the property of work (which can range) this will involve everything from general and constant risk assessment, COSHH, manual handling, PPE and noise at work.
