  I specialize in Food Law, a “niche” practice which focuses on providing general legal and consultancy services to farmers, agro-processors, food manufacturers, retailers, consumers, hospitality, distributors, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders in the food industry. I mainly focus on Brand Innovation and Product Development to ensure that products, which are developed and manufactured are legally fit for consumption.I am passionate about food safety, food & nutrition policy, food security and food sustainability. I spend much of my career as a Food Law Specialist collaborating with many international food scientists and food lawyers, moderating product development boot camps, lecturing on issues pertaining to food law and regulation and product liability to students at international universities at requests. During the course of this year, I delivered 3 guest lectures to Food Science and Nutrition and Dietetic Students at the California State University, served as a judge on many product development competitions, assessed product development portfolios and provided advice on legal requirements and regulatory requirements. I am currently collaborating with a team who consults with the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus Barbados on the incoming launch of the Nutrition of Dietetic Degree Program.I have launched a series of webinars under the Theme: "Legally Fit for Consumption" and is currently moderating an entire Facebook Community of over 131 professional members who are all involved in the Food Industry. In this community, I currently launched sub-groups and is currently managing a Product Development Boot Camp for Chefs and Culinary Professionals as well as a series called: " What's on your Plate!" Five years ago, I saw that there was a need for building the awareness of the importance of the role of Law in the food Industry.
