I am a reflective, self-evaluative practitioner who implements the Early Years Foundation Stage framework in collaboration with parents, carers and the Local Authority. I use contemporary research and best practice techniques to plan and deliver individualised care and learning opportunities and experiences for babies and young children. My setting has achieved 7 grade 1 Ofsted reports over 4 consecutive inspection cycles now, between September 2004 and August 2014.I am approved by Hartlepool Borough Council to provide free nursery education to 2, 3 and 4 year old children and I am a member of our local authority professional network.https://allearlyyears.wordpress.com/ Show less

      All Early Years

I support and mentor childcare practitioners and help them put the joy back into their work. Happy practitioners = happy kids = happy parents. I scour the web for free online CPD and share it with a dedicated bunch of early years practitioners. Check it out at https://www.facebook.com/groups/earlyyearsCPD/I provide consultations to support practitioners in any aspect of their provision, whether that's to work on inspection report recommendations or to take on a critical friend role when reviewing aspects of practice or provision. A proportion of my work is pro bono, particularly for those who are new to childminding or who are in need of a great deal of support and guidance.I mentor students from entry level to post grad; provide a proof reading service for a whole range of documents and write pieces for a range of early years services.Yup, variety really is the spice of life.
