      Working onboard Mariner BSome of my tasks and responsibilities are:-be a visible head of department of all technical trades onboard and promote safety culture.-participate in the daily work duties in engine room and on deck as required.-follow up general on-board training, including emergency and on the job training.-prioritize and distribute work assignments to the subordinate crew.-participate in management inspections throughout the vessel.-completion and quality check of the engine log book, oil record book and other log books and other records.-assist in authorities and classification society inspections and as necessary carry out surveys on behalf of classification society if required.-make sure all repairs to the hull and mechanical and electrical equipment are done with a good plan, use of work permit, SJA and safety equipment.-make sure that the maintenance program for the FSU is followed up, and all maintenance and repair work is registered in the maintenance system.-make sure that all lifting operations within my area of responsibility is planned and performed according to lifting procedure.-make sure the FSU has the necessary supplies (bunkers, lubrication oils, spare parts) on board and that this is being ordered on time. Working onboard under the tow from SHI yard in South Korea to the UK sector in the North Sea.Phase 2: Working onboard Mariner B on location on the Mariner field.Some of my tasks were:Monitor and operation of; -alarm system panels for all systems on-board.-ballast operation.-power management control and operation.-the FSU's azimuths and DP system.-Responsible for operation of the vessel fixed radio equipment. Including keeping the radio log and function test of equipment.-at all times be updated on helicopter and vessel movements on the field, and responsible for the communication with vessels within the 500 meter safety zone.-responsible for keeping the stand by vessel updated with the FSU's latest POB and marine operations inside 500 meter zone.-responsible for updating the ship log books and reports such as;-deck log book-radio traffic log book (GMDSS)-entering of enclosed space log book-engine room log book.-environmental reports and fuel consumption reports.-work permit and isolation register.
