The research concluded that as local, community-based organizations grow, they are at risk of creating unfavorable attitudes within the community they serve so must mitigate this risk during these growth phases.       Assigned to health center and worked with extension workers to deliver outreach immunization, family planning, and nutrition services. Gained understanding of primary health care realities in rural setting in the southern Africa region. Organized delivery of Permaculture-Nutrition workshops designed to enhance the grassroots extension worker’s knowledge of sustainable agriculture and basic nutrition practices.

      Serves on the leadership team of the USAID-funded, $34 million Family Health and Nutrition Activity. The project aims to reduce maternal and neonatal mortality by strengthening Zambia's Ministry of Health to deliver high-quality health services, strengthen health systems, and increase community engagement in health service delivery across four provinces, 48 districts and over 1,000 health facilities. Lead annual workplan development, implementation and monitoring applying adaptive management approaches to adjust project strategies to achieve objectives. Working with the Monitoring and Evaluation Director, develop project monitoring strategies, build knowledge management systems, and coordinate project reporting. Show less Serves on the senior management team and is responsible for strategic leadership to Jhpiego/Zambia’s $11 million portfolio with seven active projects. Facilitates strategic planning and business development initiatives. Provides strategic leadership and supervision to team responsible for day-to-day project operations while ensuring compliance with Jhpiego/Zambia's standardized system for work planning, budgeting, schedule and cost monitoring, maintaining compliance, risk management, and change control. Negotiated and executed consortium partner sub-agreements, guided annual workplan and budget development, established project performance monitoring system linking schedule and cost performance, established system to capture and monitor cost share, and coordinated communications with the USAID Agreement Officer.
