  Mike launched his accounting career at Greenwalt Sponsel & Co., first as a Staff Auditor before being promoted to Audit Senior in July 2005, and to Audit Manager in July 2008. During this span he engaged with clients in a variety of industries, providing audits, assurance services, financial statements and consulting, including CFO- and Controller-level services for non-profit organizations and privately-held and family-owned businesses.

  Mike joined Sponsel CPA Group at the company’s founding, serving first as Audit Manager before being elevated to Partner and Director of Audit & Assurance Services in January 2014. In this role he leads other accountants and staff in providing consulting and assurance services (audits and financial statement work) to privately held Indiana-based companies.He has continued increasing his knowledge base, obtaining the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) certification. Mike is an active member of the Indiana CPA Society and currently serves as a trustee for its Political Action Committee, advocating on behalf of the profession to legislators. Show less
