  My job responsibilities include: management of all Design and Survey staff in our Community Infrastructure department, leading the technical design of major projects as the senior designer, Lead Verifier, surveying, construction inspection, detailed design, engineering calculations, project estimating and preparation of tender documents and contract drawings.Responsible for managing surveying activities across Southwestern and Eastern Ontario. Duties include maintenance of company fleet vehicles and all surveying related equipment, ensuring all measuring devices maintain current calibration and certification, scheduling required field work and reviewing collected survey data to ensure high accuracy. I complete topographic, quantity, lot grading and layout surveying on a variety of project types. I am also responsible for creating base plans using survey data and compiled background information. I complete detailed design and detailed 3D modelling using the most current Civil 3D and Revit MEP BIM drafting software on a variety of projects including: road reconstruction, site development, sewer and watermain upgrades, bridges, subdivision development, sanitary pumping stations, water treatment plants and waste water treatment plants to name a few. I complete sewer design calculations, quantity and cost estimates and assist in preparation of tender documents. I have also been involved in full-time construction inspection including contract administration duties such as change orders, payment certificates and creation of As Recorded drawing sets.
