Working on a wide range of collaborative projects as the organizations prepared to blend into one, this gave me the opportunity to better understand the vision of collaboration throughout the Berkshires and see the bigger picture, while also recognizing the need to pay close attention to detail and complete a myriad of tasks to ensure the success and vitality of each organization.   1Berkshire is a nonprofit corporation charged with strengthening and growing the Berkshire economy using an innovative collaborative approach among the region’s business, tourism, economic, and creative development efforts. They focus on economic development and proudly work to develop the next generation of leaders and support entrepreneurs at every step. My role served the business community through the Berkshire Chamber of Commerce, a division of 1Berkshire. I developed and implemented a comprehensive communications strategy, coordinated all aspects of marketing and public relations, and assisted in advocacy efforts. Program management included: Berkshire Leadership Program Coordinator, Nonprofit Business Network Coordinator, Berkshire Nonprofit Solutions Coordinator, Berkshire Population Task Force co-coordinator, Berkshire Young Professionals Marketing Staff LiaisonAdditionally, I had the privilege of serving on the following 1Berkshire staff teams: • Economic Development Team, focused on workforce alignment, business retention and recruitment, building an entrepreneurial environment, and addressing population trends in the region. • Marketing Team, responsible for developing the Life Is Calling in the Berkshires brand, coordinating 1Berkshire communications, and implementing a media relations plan.   Hillcrest Educational Centers is a nonprofit organization working to facilitate the social, emotional, intellectual, and physical growth of adolescents through the development of new skills that will enable them to succeed. As Business Development Manger, I supported a wide range of business and program development initiatives for programs and services offered through the Hillcrest Educational Foundation. This included working with senior leadership on communications and marketing strategy, assisting with media relations, ad placements, and website updates; coordinating grant writing efforts, including writing grants and managing contract grant writer; managing the Hillcrest Community Support Services line of business; and supporting Autism Awareness efforts in our community to help connect individuals and their families with the services they deserve.
