  James commenced his Career in the Police Force in Melbourne working at busy inner suburban stations such as Port Melbourne, South Melbourne, City West, and then Richmond where he was quickly identified as a Police person who wanted to make a difference.At Richmond James took out the award 3 years in a row for the most arrests for the Station. As a result of his hard work he was rewarded with being selected to work under cover.
