My first rotation is with supplier strategic outsourcing. My role was with the Supplier Technical Assessment and Validation (STAV) Program on planning In-Depth Site Assessments (part of the STAV program) and risk mitigation items noted in the assessment. The goal was to work with Supply Chain Procurement, Supplier Quality, and the Supplier to gain an enhanced understanding is obtained through the performance of an on-site technical assessment by a group of Subject Matter Experts (SME),For 134 years, Newport News Shipbuilding (NNS) has carried on the legacy of American shipbuilding, building some of the most famous ships in American naval history with a diverse workforce of craftsmen and engineers. We proudly build U.S. Navy aircraft carriers and submarines, and provide after-market services for both. In 2011, we became a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries after being a part of Northrop Grumman since 2001. Show less
