I was responsible to keep the emergency stocks replenished; updating the emergency preparedness plan (EPREP); and providing a detachment of logistics staff without compromising normal activities. Jan 2011 - Sept 2015As a Manager Risk Management, I was overall responsible for leadership, management oversight and technical assistance to the implementation of Risk Management SOPs and ensuring Staff Safety; reporting; learning and sharing good practices. I conducted regular and ad hoc security assessment as necessary, in order to gather information and to analyze the overall security situation in existing and potential areas of intervention, and taking lead in developing the mitigations measure/strategies, relevant SOP and implementation of these strategies in the field. Developed quarterly, monthly and weekly work plans for the Risk Management Unit in order to ensure that key strategic and operational objectives are met. I continuously monitored the security environment in all of CARE operational areas and consolidating feedback from the Field Office and partner’s organizations. Role of my job was also to Liaise with Government, Law Enforcing Agencies and other key external stakeholders to ensure that CARE staff can maintain a regular and safe access to program areas also ensured the physical safety and security standards and continuously maintained for all CARE offices and residences throughout in the country. I developed and implemented the quarterly training plans for all CARE staff focused on safety and security awareness and skill sets. I was the integral part of any critical incident or crises and supported the Crisis Management team and ensure that country and Field Level Crisis management plans are kept up to date and reviewed also responsible to ensure that any International visitor receives a security brief and security welcome pack within 24 hours of arrival.
