  I played a key role in the growth of Suter from a £20 million company in to a £500 million distribution and services group during the 80’s. I was an active member of the pre and post acquisition team responsible for developing and implementing turnaround strategies for the strategic acquisitions that were made. I sat on the Distribution group board and was involved with many of the group companies.

  I founded and owned this Hong Kong based IBM AS/400 software and Services Company during its formative first four years from start-up until a US group acquired the business.During my stewardship, the company grew and became well known in S.E. Asia as a leading supplier of software and consultancy. The company expanded its operations throughout the region and supplied logistics software and services to some of the largest companies in HK and the Far East. e.g. Malaysian International Shipping (MISC), Maersk, Inchcape JDH, China Light and Power, Ernst & Young Hong Kong, Fuji Xerox (Singapore).   Hired by the founder to take on a loss making and undeveloped European division of a US software and services company. During my three years at RII, I turned the fledgling international organisation from a small technical based operation in to a successful sales and marketing driven company. Revenues doubled and profits increased during my first year and continued to grow thereafter. I grew the European operations and added direct sales, agent channels and strategic relationships throughout Europe, South Africa, the Middle and Far East.   Joined Isogon Corporation, a New York based enterprise software and services company, to build an international sales and technical support organisation from scratch, based in the UK. Major achievements: built international distributor channel to cover 36 countries, built global strategic alliance channels with companies such as Fujitsu, Hitachi and IBM. Built and ran wholly owned subsidiaries in Spain, France, Australia, Japan, Singapore. In three years created an $11 Million pa revenue business from zero that contributed more than half the corporation’s profits. The company was subsequently acquired by IBM. Show less

I was brought on board by the investors to startup and build the UK and international business. The company was subsequently bought for cash by the UK firm QinetiQ.

  I founded and owned Vocus Europe Ltd as Vocus Inc's distributor in the UK. Vocus Inc later acquired the business from me and I remained as MD of the International business and an executive officer of the US parent company. I was actively involved in the highly successful NASDAQ IPO which returned 24 x to original investors 12 months after the float. Vocus Europe Ltd enjoyed significant growth in the UK and Europe and is aknowledged as the leading on demand software provider in the world for the PR industry.
