  PhD Researcher• Flexoelectric Polymer Electrolyte Membranes as Electromechanical Transducers and Wind Energy Harvester o Developed the multilayer assembly of solid polymer electrolyte membranes (PEMs) and flexible electrodes. The flexible PEM assembly could generate electrical energy under bending deformation and vice versa, i.e., flexoelectric property. • Highly Conductive Solid Polymer Electrolyte Membranes (PEMs) for Solid State Li-ion Batteries o Developed solid polymer electrolyte membranes (PEMs) via photo-crosslinking of ternary mixtures. The ionic conductivity of the PEMs exceeds 10-3 S/cm at room temperature. PEMs are non-flammable and can withstand temperature as high as 135°C. o Evaluated the electrochemical stability and cycling stability of the PEMs in LiFePO4 and graphite half cells.• Liquid Crystalline Polymer Electrolytes Membranes (PEMs) with Ion Gating Property o Designed and synthesized azobenzene containing liquid crystalline (LC) material, which could dissolve salts and transport ions. Within certain temperature range, the LC material could be switched between ordered/disordered state by light irradiation. Show less
