      I got my first job here at the age of 13. Working within a relations small construction company consisting of 4 people we were a tight knit team, completing all functions in construction from the beginning of a project laying foundations to finishing a project and painting.

      I assisted in both shuttering and concreting various pre-cast projects. In Perth we were constructing man-holes which would be used underground in the mines in addition to wall sections which would also be used in the mines. When I was relocated to Coffs Harbour where I helped construct a multi-million dollar factory shed before we could begin work in concreting pre-cast bridge floor panels and sections. This project was part of a $550 million, government funded series of bridges being built.

      I was employed in Goodyear Aviation's retread plant in Tilburg, Netherlands for a summer job to gain experience in Aviation. Here, I was employed in the initial inspection shed where I would be the first person to receive the used tires. I would analyse every minuscule detail on each tire to ensure there was no damage. From here, I would insert all the tire's information into the in-house computer system.

      I had worked as a control room operative in a timber mill for the Summer. Here I had to oversee all operations inside the mill on cameras and inform the relevant operators of any misalignments or break-downs in order for them to be repaired and minimise downtime. In addition to this, I was acting as the line of contact between the mill and the yard so I had to ensure the correct size and thickness of log was being supplied.
