      As a Student Ambassador, I regularly gave tours of the college to prospective school groups of up to thirty students. I also travelled to schools to give presentations about applying to the University of Oxford.In June 2023, I was presented with an award for having assisted with the most access events, and was chosen to feature in Somerville College's Virtual Tour. I was elected to this role in March 2023 by the undergraduate students of Somerville College.In this role, I represented the academic interests of over four hundred students on the college's Education Committee, which was attended by senior members of the college, including the Principal and Senior Tutor.

      Work Experience

      I returned to my former secondary school in June 2023 to undertake work experience.During the placement, I shadowed teachers across a variety of subjects, including History and Law. I also had the opportunity to provide one-to-one support to students with complex special educational needs.

      Oxford Royale is a provider of educational summer schools for international students aged 13-18.As a Counsellor, I facilitated the delivery of three summer schools over a period of six weeks. This involved leading extracurricular activities, such as debating and sports, as well as providing academic and pastoral support to students.My campus, out of twenty others, received the highest student satisfaction scores.       I was appointed to this position in October 2023 by the Vice President (Undergraduate Education & Access) of Oxford SU.In this role, I sought to improve the student experience for over two thousand undergraduates across the Social Sciences. This involved participation on a number of key decision-making bodies within the university, including the Divisional Board and the Undergraduate Studies Committee.I am particularly proud of my work in advancing demands for a reading week, as well as a greater diversification of examination methods and timings.
