    • GEMS Education

      Aug 2020 - now
      Vice-President of Communications

I lead the dedicated and award-winning (see below) Communications team for GEMS Education worldwide - an organisation with a firm belief that every child in the world has the right to a quality education for the lasting benefit of them and a better future for all. It is my mission to help GEMS deliver on that ambition with 360-degree communications that will inspire, engage and lead to real action. In the first 36 months under my leadership, reach of coverage rose 166% with media value rising just under 50% ($1.5 billion and counting) while perceived negative sentiment was pegged back to less than 1%. Three out of every four media education stories in the UAE in 2021, 2022 and 2023 featured GEMS Education and the group has hit record enrollment numbers and revenue in the last 12 months. We were recognised at the 2022 MEPRA Awards with four trophies and in 2023 (November), the Middle East Media 'Oscars' elected us 'In-House Communications Team of the Year' and honoured us for 'Best PR Campaign of the Year' plus six other trophies. • GEMS Education is the world’s largest and oldest privately-owned K-12 education provider (i.e. schools serving kindergarten children from four years old to senior school students of 18 years old), operating leading international independent schools in five regions globally – MENA, Europe, Americas, Asia Pacific, and India. • GEMS Education operates over 80 schools in eight countries – Egypt, France, India, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, UK and USA.
