  The JAHWC at UTK partners with three local high schools(Austin-East, Central, and Fulton) to offer tutoring and workshops for senior students working on their college and scholarship application essays. In this community engagement project, I have had the pleasure of working with students at Austin-East high school. As an experienced writing tutor at the JAHWC, I support student writers in all disciplines across campus by reading and discussing their writing and by offering constructive feedback and encouragement throughout the writing process.Nominated for the Judith Anderson Herbert Excellence in Writing Endowment Award for Excellence as a New Undergraduate Tutor in the spring of 2024.Recruited into the JAHWC Flagship Program at UTK in late August!
