      Continuing education and passion for your craft goes without saying, but experience makes the difference! When I was a Travel Agent in the late ‘80’s people saved and accrued their leave, for a “once in a life time” trip to Europe. And if I got the bookings wrong… they could never get that time again. I had to ensure everything went smoothly. So, when it came to insurance, I quickly realised that if I didn’t get it right, we wouldn’t know until claim time – and then it is too late for the client! They would now have a pre-existing condition as well, so could never get that cover again. I realised what a great responsibility I had and knew I had to know my craft and I questioned everything. I became a bit of a thorn in the insurance providers side! After all these years I have now seen pretty much everything when it comes to medical conditions that might cause an insurer to assess you at a greater risk to insure – and understand how to get the best outcome for my clients. I have dealt with dozens of claims and have advocated for each one of my clients at a scary and uncertain time of their lives, giving my time (sometimes days or weeks) freely to do so. I have a lot of experience to draw on and it is this experience that gives me greater insight into what really happens when people are injured or seriously ill; how the cover works for them and what they or their business will really need.I CARE about getting it right to start with, and I really care about getting it right at claim time!
